Buying Oregon Pinot Noir Red Tastings — 24 May 2013

Longtime Pinot Noir lover William “Rusty” Gaffney, M.D., aka The Prince of Pinot, continues his outstanding coverage of the varietal with four pieces on current Oregon Pinot Noir releases, almost all 2008s and 2009s, as of the end of 2011. The first three stories cover his “All American” team picks, divided into three articles: First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mentions.

Although the All American Honorable Mention piece does not include the detailed tasting notes of the First and Second Team articles, it does include a pricing chart covering the All American selections. The last article offers a mix of value picks, although the picks do not include tasting notes.
